Use overall eligible spending amounts; results are estimates because Mox calculates rewards on each settled transaction.

Rates and reward modes

Choose either CashBack or Asia Miles in the Mox app. A transaction earns only one type of reward.
The standard rate is 1% CashBack or HKD 10 per Asia Mile. The enhanced rate is 2% CashBack or HKD 5 per Asia Mile.
Until 31 August 2026, Mox+ or an eligible HKD 25,000 payroll transaction can unlock the enhanced rate. From 1 September 2026, Mox+ is required.
CashBack mode also earns an unlimited 3% at merchants classified by Mastercard as supermarkets or grocery stores. If multiple CashBack rates apply, only the highest rate is used.
The 0% foreign-currency and overseas-merchant fee promotion requires Asia Miles mode and applies to eligible transactions during 2026.

Calculation and account notes

CashBack is rounded to the nearest cent. Asia Miles are rounded down to whole miles for each transaction; this calculator rounds the entered category totals, so the result is an estimate.
Asia Miles mode requires a registered Cathay membership account. The HKD 50 reward-scheme switching fee is waived for Mox+ customers and may also be waived in limited circumstances.
Rewards are provided after eligible transactions settle. Cancelled, refunded or reversed rewards may be recovered; Mox may deduct HKD 0.20 for each reversed Asia Mile.

Not eligible for Mox Card rewards

Gambling or betting, cash withdrawals or advances, balance transfers, card loans, and cash transfers.
Most digital-wallet purchases other than ordinary Apple Pay or Google Pay purchases; stored-value reloads such as Octopus top-ups remain excluded.
Cryptocurrency payments and payments to financial institutions, brokers or dealers.
Bill, tax or insurance payments classified as such by Mox or Mastercard.
Purchases of foreign currency, money orders or travellers’ cheques, and payments of interest, finance charges or fees.
Transactions classified as mail order, postal services or commuter passenger transport, and purchases of designated reward programmes or memberships.
Disputed transactions, improper activity, and transactions in merchant codes or categories designated as ineligible by Mox or Mastercard.

Mox Credit lets you choose either CashBack or Asia Miles. CashBack mode earns unlimited 3% at eligible supermarkets and grocery stores, plus 1% on other eligible spending or 2% when the enhanced rate is unlocked. Asia Miles mode earns HK$10 per mile at the standard rate or HK$5 per mile at the enhanced rate. During July and August 2026, Mox+ or an eligible HK$25,000 payroll transaction can unlock the enhanced rate; from September 2026, Mox+ is required. The current 0% foreign-currency and overseas-merchant fee promotion applies only in Asia Miles mode. Switching reward modes normally costs HK$50, but Mox+ customers receive a waiver.
