Eligible transaction notes

Eligible retail transactions include online purchases and Octopus Automatic Add-Value transactions.
For an eligible interest-free monthly instalment purchase, cashback is awarded only on the instalment amount posted that month.
Principal and supplementary card transactions under the same account are combined.
Cashback is rounded down to the nearest cent and must be redeemed through the 360° Rewards platform; the minimum redemption is HKD 50 per account.

Not eligible for cashback

Transfers and top-ups to designated accounts, including Octopus O! ePay, Alipay, FPS and other non-card-association or digital-payment accounts.
Insurance payments; bill payments through Standard Chartered Online Banking, Phone Banking or JET Payment Services; and phone or mail orders.
Gambling or betting transactions, and transactions with securities brokers or dealers.
Financial transactions and services, including foreign-currency purchases, money orders, travellers' cheques, face-to-face cash disbursements and wire transfers.
Wholesale purchases of precious stones, metals, watches or jewellery.
Cash advances, balance transfers, Instalment Credit, Credit-to-Cash amounts, tax payments, finance charges and fees.
Unposted, cancelled, refunded, falsified or unauthorised transactions.

The Standard Chartered Simply Cash card offers 2% cashback on eligible transactions posted in a foreign currency and 1.5% on eligible transactions posted in Hong Kong Dollars. With no spending cap or minimum-spend requirement, it is one of Hong Kong's most straightforward cashback cards. Standard exclusions still apply, including insurance, selected bill payments, digital-wallet top-ups, tax and financial transactions.
